You like ships. You don't seem to be looking at the destinations. What you care about is the ships, and mine's the nicest.

Pssht! Not like I haven't enough otherwise, though never of my own initiative. You've given me the resolve not to. Tonight.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Just caught up on over 900 posts.

Happy Belated Birthday Emily

wow, y'all are like the opposites of most families I know here where guns toys just do not exist.

This is our house, much to CJ’s dismay. I don’t like shoot ‘em up PSP games either.

And the pink boxing gloves don't come in as heavy weights as the black ones.

I have pink sparring gloves. Probably the only pink thing I own.

And I threw a dart at a board to guess our FSA deduction.

I found out, by accident, that if we put at least $200 toward our FSA, then the company will match up to that $200. Don’t know how long they have been doing that. I had sent in a receipt for over my FSA contribution and they paid me $200 more. Nice. Confusing, but nice.

I also am the freak who started to call him Dad and "your dad" when talking to the kids.

I do this too (at least the “your dad” part), but don’t get when spouses call each other Mother and Father when their kids are grown and out of the house.

Do you ever type a post and realize, "no one cares" and then delete it? That is me right now.

All too often. I have nothing to blame but myself.

It me and S's our 21st anniversary today.

Wow, I’m only a day behind in wishing you a happy anniversary. Go have a drink!

Almost a year has gone by and the adopted boy only recently told his family about the pact, he has deemed them a good family.

That is so cool. And that they helped him fulfill his side of the pact - awesome.

My sis swears crockpots are the greatest invention ever, but I hate having to clean them.

I want to buy a crockpot, but got intimidated over the variety of sizes. There are just two of us I’m usually cooking for, so do I want a “two person” one, or something larger so I have leftovers?

Yeah, we talk about death a fair amount in my family, between one thing and another.

My mom and I had many discussions about death in the years before she passed away. Many of them in dark humor fashion. But knowing her thoughts and wishes made dealing afterwards a touch easier. I don’t have any doubts of “what she would have wanted”.

Dad's corpse goes to science.

This is what I did with mom. I’m sure she confounded someone with her 4 kidneys and missing ½ mile of intestine. They sent me her ashes about 8 weeks later. She told me she wanted them used to fertilize flowers. I think she forgot I’m the black thumb of the family. The box is currently sitting on my mantle with a picture of her on it.

I cleaned! And really cleaned, without sending ita ANY links.

She did. The apartment looks great. Though, I’m sure we all appreciate the links.

ION, who farted?

My son. WHY did he have to inherit that skill from his father?

We are having our annual Pajama Day at work.

Very cool. Love the PJ’s.

waiting for Suzi to get here so we can slounge together

I’m here. Slounging and champagne have commenced.

Side note to Plei - thanks for suggesting that Perkins give that green polish to me. LOVE it!

so soon I will have sushi

And now it is all gone. NOM!

I would run away from Iman

She would give me bees.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I shall never speaks sort of kindly about him again.

He didn't hurt my feelings, or anything. He just painted himself in a bad light. Taking that much advantage of your celebrity to hit on chicks is nebulous to start out with. And then he was presumptuous on top of it. I guess he figured the black girl would know who he was.

But, really, if you're hitting on someone, tell them your freaking name. I have ended up being whisked away by guys whose surnames I didn't know, but that was either because I wasn't paying attention or because I started the whole thing myself and kinda never asked. But I do think offering is the polite thing to do.

I bet Tiger Woods would tell you his last name.

Oh, and I should add that Perkins is a wonderful hostess. Ditaboo is adorable and seems to have deemed me an acceptable human. I think.

how did us trying to convince you to do it give you the resolve not to?

Jesus, I think that just convinced me NEVER! Never the twain shall meet. And maybe to shut it down for good. May be a good thing. Was that your version for me of "I LOVE YOU"?

did you all know the price of sugar is going up to some ridiculous price?

Oh, I hope that means more money for Jamaica.

I'm contrary. It's me.
