I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

It's snowing outside. I'm a little alarmed.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

excellent news ita.

I'm giving myself a little break before starting in on the files, it seems I forgot to eat lunch - need to remedy that. If I can keep myself motivated, my whole focus for the rest of today and the next 3 days will be getting shit out of my house. recycling, ebay listing, library donating, cooking, mailing. I'm in such a mood, if I had anywhere to put them, I would start packing boxes of non-essentials for a move 7 months away.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Jesse has reminded me to watch Burn Notice. Good times.

Tonight we're staying at home and I'm cooking coq au vin and panna cotta. Bob provided champagne. It's no Thailand, but I guess it will suffice.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

They dismissed us two hours early from work, so here I am. Low-key New Year's for us - dinner, then to nearby friends' party. (which usually is folks hanging around and chatting, and maybe some gaming)

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We are ordering in Thai food and catching up on TiVo. I am planning to make out with my husband like crazed party weasels at some point, too, but we may not make it to midnight because we are just that boring.

I kinda want to order in tonight, but we have the babysitter coming at 6 for a couple of hours and mac won't want anything but chicken fingers. might as well save the money and maybe take myself for a lunch on Sunday.

mac wants to stay up and watch the ball drop, so we will see about that.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

This may be the most ridiculous/awesome thing I've ever seen:

Battle for Milkquarious

It's a cross between Barbarella and soft core porn styling (totally SFW, but you'll see what I mean. It's a "rock opera" put together by the California Milk Board and the songs are hilarious!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Would it be his first NYE awake? That's something to get excited about.

I have an invitation to an NYE party in the next town over, and if there's no more snow, I may actually make it over....

Ms. Belle, a friend of mine was looking for a tape of the ball dropping so that she could try to fool her kids into thinking that it was happening at 9PM :)
