Zoe: Next time we smuggle stock, let's make it something smaller. Wash: Yeah, we should start dealing in those black-market beagles.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Assuming volume stays constant

Yeah, that's what I was going to do...

So about 12%

Cool! Thanks.

You're welcome! I managed to have to learn that little bit of thermodynamics 3 times in college (4 if you count dive training), so it's always fun to be able to put it to use.

Anyway, my bike tire pressure is a little on the low side at 70 degrees, so perhaps I wasn't crazy when I thought they were noticeably low on the ride here.

From Slate: In 2010, We Will Live on the Moon

Remembering the giddy futurism of Omni magazine.

I loved Omni, so I found this interesting ....

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Omni folded because we didn't need to read about the future any more -- we're living in it.

I am allegedly working from home, but there wasn't anything I could bring home. I guess I should at least check my email.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm thinking about taking a second shower to warm up. Or getting back in bed. I've sent two or three emails, so that seems like enough work...

If Sue is still around:

If someone were contemplating a trip that involved Montréal, Québec, northern VT, and Acadia National Park in Maine and was thinking of adding Nova Scotia to the mix, what would that involve logistically--would one have to drive around via Moncton, or are there ferries that crossover from ME or St John?

Probably not crazy - my brother's and parents' cars tell them when it's particularly cold out (under 30F? I forget) expressly so they can check their tire pressure.
