I really need to try cold brewing. I love coffee but my drip machine makes for acidic badness.
Natter 64: Yes, we still need you

hellooo everyone!
I'm the ONLY one in my office today. It's technically a holiday for us but were told we could come in if we needed to and then take the holiday as a floater next year. I really needed to get some work done and would rather take a day next year anyway.
I actually have gotten some work done and took a trip to the nearby mostly crappy mall where I scored two pairs of jeans that fit and one kinda ridic cardy with a fur collar. I kind of hope that the jeans don't fit for long because oi chubby! I think I'm going on a semi-serious abstinence program after the new year for a few months (with a break for our trip to SF, of course). We'll see how that goes.
on an invoice "CFM access for MBSD"
I kept transposing letters and double-taking.
Today I received a package with "FCM" printed in large letters. ("First Class Mail")
It's a Let the Right One In t-shirt. I'm leaning towards M-ing it....
You know, I started to post my answers but thought better of it.
If you felt better off coffee it makes sense to stay off it!
My stomach feels better. The rest of me really needs the coffee.
Sue, have you looked into cold-brewing your coffee? Much less acidity, supposedly it doesn't stain your teeth and it cuts out some of the caffeine. And without the acidity, you can drink more to make up the caffeine.
Interesting. I wonder if Starbucks will do that for me.;)
Really I also have to look at the other acidic foods I eat: tomoatoes and red sauces mostly. I can usually maintain the balance of flora in my stomach, but it's been off for the last few months.
Can anyone think of a word/words that means "Healthcare Professionals and other people who work in healthcare who are not professionals (like unit secretaries and patient care techs)" that won't insult or exclude anyone. Healthcare workers insults doctors, dentists, nurses and others who consider themselves "professionals" and Healthcare Professionals makes Patient care techs, secretaries and housekeeping think the classes are inappropriate for them.
"those employed in the healthcare industry"? Too long? Is this for a course title?
Sue I had to give up diet coke because of my stomach, and Coffee was not an alternative. AFter several failed attempts at caffeine withdrawal, I finally discovered caffeine pills. One pill has the caffeine of two cups of coffee, and and two pills a day keeps me from getting the caffeine withdrawal headaches, and lets me continue to function in the mornings. Of course that does not give you the coffee taste, so if what you really love about coffee is the taste and ritual then this won't work for you.
I think that will work Dana--- you are helping me everywhere today.
It is for a blurb about a bunch of communications classes. We had a writer in the marketing department write out website, and now that it is up, my boss doesn't like certain phrases because they are exclusive and whatnot, so I have to change them.
