I need a new, deeper non-stick skillet. Like ita, I like to handle the thing before I buy. I've been eyeballing models for months now.
Natter 64: Yes, we still need you
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I don't think it's bananas that the woman asked for prayers--any prolific blogger who questions such a request is oblivious.
Oh, let me be clear -- I don't think the mother's actions were bonkers, I think the fact that the story has been told the way it's been told, and turned into what it's turned into, is bonkers.
And now I feel like a clod, making with the funny while you guys are talking about a drowned toddler. I do agree with Cash. Having a pool and a small child in the same house without a fence with a locked gate around the pool is a recipe for tragedy.

Agreed. I actually read about it on Twitter before I read any MSM news about it. I think it's getting twisted because rather than reporting very many facts, the stories just seem to be opinions of other bloggers or twitterers--who also spend inordinate amounts of time online.

Don't you dare, Bev! I need the contrast. The story was very upsetting to me initially. Mostly because of how people were reacting to this woman's tragedy. It was an accident and they're going on about her tweets. I don't actually recommend googling that phrase, by they way. The number of hits is depressing.
Can anyone tell me the name of the Roller Derby film with Ellen Paige? I've forgotten it.
Those are really cute whisks. I didn't know cuteness was an option in whisks! Except for the teeny ones, of course.
I'm pretty sure I've made rice in sauciers with no problem. I promptly forget what all my pots and pans are meant to be used for as soon as I get them home.
I think I will stay away from the drowning story...
Cashere, Whip It.
Thanks, -t!
Today's T shirt at Teefury.com is quite funny. I caved and got myself one, despite not needing another tee. And Star Wars, really? But I like the imagery. eta: Nevermind. They are eastern time, and the tee is now gone.
Cashmere, I found browsing potsandpans.com very interesting. I'll now check out Target and maybe a department store or two for comparison shopping.

Which is especially why I totally don't get it. I don't think we are particularly different here in that we have people posting both good and bad news very close to the events themselves.
