Salvation Army, those gay-haters, are coming to pick up some furniture from us. I feel simultaneously bad about it because they hate us, but they are the only non profit that will send a truck to get it.

Always Anti-fascist!

Hec, you are clearly doing the Ari Gold thing and mixing affection with hostility.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, I just got a call from Arbitron doing a survey about my TV and radio consumption. I was all excited, until they asked if I know anyone who works for an advertising agency. And I do! But I don't know which agency or what her title is. But still, I was knocked out of the running. Oh well.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Happy Birthdays to Theo, Jesse, and Rayne!

Everybody sounds so energetic and effective this AM. Me, NSM. Slounging is high on my priority list today. I may poke at a box or two, of course that way lies madness, because one box leads to another box leads to another box, and before you know it they're all open and nowhere to put the contents!

JZ, the thing you made is awesome. One thing I treasure that came back to me with StE's things is the yarn octopus I made for his third Christmas--he'd just turned two. There was a picture of an octopus in one of his books, and he was at the "How does the horsie go? How does the doggie go?" stage, and wanted to know "How does the occiepuss go?" We made an octopus-swimming across hand motion and a "whhsh, whhsh, whhsh" sound and he added it to his repertoire. Obviously he needed an octopus toy. It and his Indiana Jones action figure went with him wherever he moved, and StY has Indie now, and I have Ollie back.

Also, if that's the gift portrait behind the darling darkling princess' shoulder, it looks awesome.

Safe journeys, all you travelers today.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Jesse, LIE.

Today is supposed to be shopping, but my sister is crashed out. ER took as much or more out of her this morning as it did me.

Oh, ita, Holiday ER is no fun. Then again, shopping on day after xmas isn't especially fun either.

I just read a Catholic Blog where someone claimed that Microsoft named XP after Jesus, since XP is the chi rho that people used to symbolize christ in early christianity.

REALLY? REALLY? That's like microsoft owning google.

I wish Catholic Blogs spent less time on abortion and teh gays and more on social justice and helping the needy.

Yeah, Cash, whenever I read the catholic blogs, I keep thinking, "What would jesus do? Not be such a tool!"
