I am not...I am not the damsel in distress. I am not some case. I have to work this. I've lived in a cave for 5 years in a world where they killed my kind like cattle. I am not going to be cut down by some monster flu. I am better than that. What a wonder...how very scared I am.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Oh sorry, that's me Cash. Esp if I say something like "I should really upload those photos one of these days." Speaking only for myself, I say it because I wish I would suddenly morph into the kind of person who does it as I know that it's not hard to do if I could just get myself into the habit of doing it.

Burrell, I was just in a snit about DH. I had the temerity to try loading the dishwasher last night while he was trying to watch a movie. Since the tv room is right next to the kitchen, it was disturbing him. Even though I had been out all day doing Christmas shopping and then volunteering at a Christmas party for needy families, then driving someone and her 19 month old to the ER, DH never managed to do the dishes.

We have a cleaning lady come in once a week and I wanted to get stuff out of her way. DH wondered why she doesn't do dishes--I explained that dishes are a CONSTANT job and they need to be done more than once a week, as is the laundry and a lot of other things that I do around the house.

Sheepishly, he agreed that he should do more around the house. And then went back to watching the movie.

And I see I'm still cranky about it this morning. Feh.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I was happy to see that we do indeed have snowplows here. Well, a couple of snowplows. But the roads are clear. Now if only my driveway were clear so I could drive.

Heifer makes me cry. I love them.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Fed government is closed today so both of us are home.(G works for an association that follows the government's lead on closings). I was taking today off for a medical procedure, so that's one sick day back in the pool.

information libertarian

At work. Today was end-of-semester clean out the lost and found day. I am bringing home two new umbrellas, a travel mug, and a camelbak water bottle. Among the things were several wallets with full id, including one social security card and a weapons license. When we get a wallet with ID, we call the people and let them know, so these people just never bothered to come get their stuff (dating back to Sept./Oct. - we log the dates.) So we cut up the credit cards and ID and throw everything away. It feels really weird.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

So here's the dilemma. Wind is wicked here. Gusts are at about 60 MPH and snow is blowing off the mountain. Lift tickets are $90/person.

Yet we drove all of this way to ski.

But really? How much fun will it actually be if it is crummy out.

I wouldn't want to be out in 60 mph winds and snow. 35+ was bad enough!

Shutting down the computer now. Hope all have a good holiday (though I'll probably be on later...)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Safe travels, Sara!

Gusts are at about 60 MPH and snow is blowing off the mountain.

That doesn't sound like fun.

flea, I can see not caring about credit cards and stuff, if the person had already cancelled/replaced them, but wouldn't they want the actual wallet back? I would.

I'm supposedly working today, but I don't really have any tasks.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

How long is your trip planned for, Kat?

Happy travels, sara!
