I've been up for an hour. Shoot me.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

It's sinking in that I'll have to leave for the airport at 6 am tomorrow. While I want to be in Michigan with my sister and her family for the holidays, I'm not loving the idea of getting there.

I've also recently started manifesting a new and exciting level of bed-head, last seen on Carol Kane when she portrayed Grandmama in Addams Family Values. Quite a trick given that my hair is naturally stick straight, and I'm not doing anything all that exciting in bed to mess it up. Eh, it's December. I'll wear a hat.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Holy crap, we got salt! Not sure how much good it'll do, but hey! City's 311 service worked even as they were overwhelmed.

Dear Husband, Do not complain that your office is closed today when I have to go to work. It would be a shame to have to kill you so close to the holidays. Thanks! -Signed Your Wife

Also, today's Kid's Woot is super cute, and I am thinking of getting one for the future for my daughter, because I am crazy.

ME too!

City's 311 service worked even as they were overwhelmed.

I love our 311!

It's super windy. Do I really want to go skiing?

311 has always been responsive in this neighborhood. Even as my trashmen are stupid. I'm sort of amazed.

I'm wearing hiking boots to the airport parking lot, but I'm leaving them in the car.

I feel ridiculous having to remember to pack fixodent. Ah, dental work.

What time is your flight, sara?

sarameg - Dec 21, 2009 3:47:27 am PST #26499 of 30001

Flight isn't until 1:30, but I'm going to try to hit Hampden first. I had to do laundry and pack and shit. And there's the extra buffer to allow for not being able to get out of the 'hood.
