Timelies all!
Don't know how much snow is on the ground here, but it's still coming down. Not going anywhere, so we'll just ride it out. (We were supposed to go to a concert tonight, but it was cancelled.)
Our snow is now mostly slush, with a lovely glaze from freezing rain. I won't be going out today. If my cat has anything to say about it, I won't be getting off the couch.
The dog and the husband have gone out to the park - pure joy for Sassafras. There are a bunch of requests on the parents' listserv for sleds and snowsuits to borrow or buy, and since we have both I'm feeling smug (for once) about my parenting skills, despite the fact that those two items have nothing to do with anything. I'm just in a "take that people who give me dirty looks when I give my daughter a bottle mood."
::wanders off wondering what the baby is up to::
Snowpocalypse has not hit Brooklyn yet, but the weather people are predicting 3-6 inches. Our plan for this morning is to hit DSW and/or Target and get Dylan some winter boots that fit. Hopefully tomorrow he can build a snowman.
It's snowing sideways. I may not have to shovel off my car at this rate.
Ok, I am procrastinating. I need to start cleaning house. All I have to do today is clean, laundry and a manicure. And pack, but pretty sure I'm not flying tomorrow. So now I gotta get moving. Yep. Getting right on that. Uh huh.
I need to clean today, too. I'd much rather curl up with a blanket and watch the snow.
My patio is one big white mound. The furniture has almost disappeared. The arborvitae is slowly collapsing under the weight of the snow. It is still snowing, and supposed to continue all day. There are kitty tracks on the porch, so at least Stray Cat is okay out there.
I usually like Garrison Keillor. Not so much today. [link]
