Wow. Speaking of gifts, my boss gave me a pound of assorted Wockenfuss candy. Unexpected. (I didn't open it until now.)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

For non-exempt, employers are required to provide at least one (unpaid) meal break in any shift longer than four hours. I'm not sure if or how that applies if you're on salary.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I just finished catching up on the Vampire Diaries. I have concluded three things:
1) It did get a little better. This is not saying much, but it did.
2) The showrunners clearly understand the importance of hurting Damon in ways that mean he has to take off his shirt so we can see the iliac crest. This is crucial to point 1) and I approve.
3) Ian Somerhalder may be the new Chad

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There was also Enver Gjokaj iliac crest tonight too. Quality time.

The Vampire Diaries does a decent job of ending each episode a punch. Dollhouse is just punching punching punching.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

2) The showrunners clearly understand the importance of hurting Damon in ways that mean he has to take off his shirt so we can see the iliac crest.

And bless them for it.

Our wings are not tired.

I like the irreverent vibe. Especially when it's matched with brains, like it obviously is.

I never like irreverent when it's not matched with brains.

Snow pretty! Bad, but pretty.

I hope you can get back to sleep soon, Sara.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Pretty nighttime snow shots, sara!

I just got started doing my laundry at 12:30 am. Why? I don't know--I was being all sorts of procrastinate-y. But I have to have clean pants for tomorrow's bookstore shift, which I'm pretty sure is 10-4, so I might as well do it tonight and then get up at 9:00 for work. I should be able to finish folding the two loads by 2:00 am.

I'm gonna try to update them as the snowpocalypse progresses. Besides, I've always meant to get outside pix of my place and hood. I can see the neon sugar sign downtown from the end of my street
