I have to spend time with craxy SiL tomorrow.
Beyond that, watching baseball and doing laundry. Whee.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Mac has a playdate tonight, so I am picking up the heat treatment machine and the really good matress covers after work. Then hopefully I will have enough time to get my room thoroughly vacuumed.
Sat - PO, karate, then governor's island with friends and their son.
Sun - church, then while mac is with uncle, hope to finish the prep work for the exterminators.
Casper rules! Her face is priceless. The boys haven't so much had a problem with me in their rooms, more with each other.
Although, for the first time, Nate requested I leave the examination room when the doc checked out the boy equipment.
The last sports physical my son had the doctor asked me to leave the room. When I went back in he gave me the goofiest 6'5" goofy kid look and said, "Mom, she touched me down there." He's a funny kid.
This weekend. Packing up to go back to Florida. I hope there will be some nice boating and campfires will happen.
House-cleaning, plus movies movies movies. We are going to a screening of Paper Heart on Saturday afternoon with one pair of friends, then meeting another set for a quick dinner inthe courtyard of the theater followed by Julie & Julia. Sunday, we are meeting yet ANOTHER friend to go see 500 Days of Summer.
What are people doing this weekend?
Trying to persuade myself to clean and do errands so that the following weekend I don't flip out like a mammal at how much I have to do before I leave on vacation.
We are off to Alabama tonight, to help our friends unpack. They just moved there last weekend, and she is having a baby ca. Sept. 9 and they have a 2 year old. So we are going to try and get them all whipped into shape before he starts his job and the baby comes.
Hopefully have fun, too.
It's supposed to be a hot weekend (97 on Sunday!) and I don't have AC... so I might crash at a friend's place.
My parents had the rule that we weren't to swear until we "got old enough." Basically, swearing was yet another privilege reserved for adults only. Of course, that just meant that we swore when they couldn't hear us--my 8th-grade classmates in homeroom were impressed by my ability to use "shit" appropriately.
I didn't start swearing until I was in college.
The kids actually have the context down, so there is that.
