Pretentious art? or not?
Bronze Rubik's Cube
In making a Rubik’s Cube with undifferentiated sides, I was attempting to remove the concept of solving or of having a purpose or goal from the Cube. I wanted to create an object that better reflected my own feelings about the Rubik’s Cube, and in a broader sense, about the fundamental nature of the Universe. I view the Universe – or all observable phenomena – to be a purely subjective concept, best defined as the intersecting agreement between all potential subjectivities. The Cube functions as a receiving object, by denuding it of it’s role as a puzzle, it becomes a more intellectually malleable object, and the physical action of operating the Cube has a more personal meaning.
Now I wanna complain to the artist about using
it's
instead of
its....
I am seriously considering signing up for a Census job, to help my situation assuming my consulting contract runs out before I have a new permanent job (which seems likely). Hmmm.
I think someone never figured out how to solve the cube.

I saw a sodoku one the other day. Kind of neat if you're into that I guess.
I enjoy the cube and I sometimes do sudoku, but I don't think I would enjoy them combined.
Nyerg. It's freaking frigid and windy out. I'm feeling crappy about the holidays. I've got so much to do saturday, and the weather might be awful. Seriously considering going shopping during work tomorrow. Can't go swimming until later tonight. I really need it.
I have to run errands tonight, and have zero interest in going outside.
