I gave her everything... jewels, beautiful dresses -- with beautiful girls in them.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have barely checked my email this morning, much less showered or anything.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

There is too much pointless testosterone being thrown around in the office today. Lots of chest puffing and hot air blowing and it is all just ridic, because each and every point being stomped and yelled about? these guys are going to backtrack and fold and end up doing at least 80% of what they are railing against.

I am the big non-supportive department admin.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Last night was our annual holiday party (which I skipped) so the office is nice and quiet today as everyone nurses their hangovers.

My nerd neighbors are discussing chemistry. Specifically, what will happen to various acids if you add water to them. "We should test that this weekend!" "Right, at your house?" "Sure!" "OK, I'll look for the house with the car parts, computer bits, and smoking things in the front yard."

And there was something about kids in foreign sweatshops learning valuable skills that "American brats don't learn until they're 24!"

And there was something about kids in foreign sweatshops learning valuable skills that "American brats don't learn until they're 24!"

Are they suggesting that we should have more domestic sweatshops employing child labor?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

How passive aggressive is ending an email request with "Thanks for your prompt attention"? Very? Ah, well, too late.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Is "your prompt attention is appreciated" less passive-aggressive?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I'd say more.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

More passive, less aggressive.
