Java, I hope your pup is okay, and that you feel better, too, this morning.

My baby girl has another cold and sounds like Darth Vader. Doesn't seem to be bothering her much, though.

Today is the library's holiday party, tomorrow is the law school's and Monday is the University party. At the university party they give away cash door prizes, which I've never won, but I live in hope of an extra $500.

So, my grandmother had to have emergency surgery, but apparently it went better than expected. So, that's good.

On the plus side this morning: moved car before streetcleaning commenced, mailed thank-yous for interview, picked up prescription from CVS, renewed my drivers license via the web, added money to checking account.

On the down side: expected Unemployment benefits due to start this week have not started. And the phone lines are "call next business day" busy, so I have a feeling it may not be just me.

Also, it's 14F outside.
