Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.
For them, a rule like that is very useful for "these are the people it is not okay to hit on."

I've got to get Mister Kitty into the vet after xmas. I think it's just old, but his ear & eye seems to be bugging him more and I need to make sure he's not lost more weight.

well we had mac's psychiatrist today which is when it came out and I was all AHHH HAAAA! She's seeing us in 2 weeks and will check back then to see if I may need chemical assistance.
Tomorrow I have mac's therapist and I'll get into with her I am sure.
