"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

So if I'm having trouble sleeping at night due to free-floating anxiety issues, should I drink less coffee, even if I only drink coffee in the morning?

This is why I've basically given up caffeine (I'll sometimes have an ice coffee on Friday's/the day before a day off from work), and it's definitely helped.

On the alchohol front, my doctor told me that while the initial effects are depressive to the system, the alchohol will convert to sugar eventually which can also affect sleep. Didn't really stop my level of drinking, however.

On a grammar note (per a recent conversation here or in bitches) was that a correct use of effect and affect?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

And we're complaining because it's only 12 days.

My university sucks. ::pouts::

Buuuyyyyy eeeeeeeet!

Hmph. Not until I get my flex reimbursement and see what money I get for Xmas. And even then there's no way I can buy it all. I'll have to remember that site for Valentine's Day.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I think I'm a hugger, but I've become so paranoid about offending a non-hugger accidentally that I wind up seeming more standoffish and non-huggy than I'd otherwise be.

I would actually like less time off over the winter break. I get really tired of my kids, especially last year when we didn't travel. But I can see the value in shutting down the heat and stuff.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

One of my goals today is get receipts for my FSA turned in. As I was looking through our company website, I discovered that there is some unadvertised company matching FSA $. Plus there is something called an HRA that has a very large amount listed as available for reimbursement. I have no clue what the HRA is or if I really have access to that money. If so - woot! Have sent a note off to HR saying WTF (in nicer language, of course).

Heh. I'm not actually anti-hug in a non-work environment. But I am awkward and shy, so it comes off looking like the same thing.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I'm a hugger, but I kind of open my arms from a distance. That way people can step in and hug or offer a hand to shake instead.

In (hopefully unrelated) news the child molester next store was arrested last night for possession of assault rifles and dealer quantities of meth.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

We cannot roll over more than 3 days of vacation and then we must use them by March of the next year, so no one here can build up a huge stash. I have always used all of my vacations days whereever I have been, do not understand not taking days off.

As for the people in this office who always seem to be out? A couple of them actually do steal days and I hate them with a fiery hot passion. In fact, as admin, I will sometimes override the system and enter their abscenses which auto sends them out an email.
