I only hug a few people at work, mostly people who have initiated hugs with me before. My supervisor has been going through a rough time but I know she has boundaries, so I always ask if she wants a hug before going in. Asking people seems much more natural with practice. And if they say no, no harm no foul.
Steph, good luck tonight maintaining your boundaries. Maybe you need a set of fetish clothes that say "No [Boy's Name]? No touchy." I mean, you shouldn't, but there will always be clueless boundary invaders.
Where does everyone get all this damned vacation time from? Are they cheating and nobody calls them on it? Argh!
I have coworkers who have HUNDREDS of hours of vacation accrued. I will never get there. In fact, I'm working all the days we're open to have enough to go down to NOLA for a week, assuming I can put together the $$.

I got paid out for six weeks of vacation time when I left my job, thanks to the fact that we get a lot of leave, and I never take vacations.... Last year I had almost two weeks off over Christmas, between days we were closed and taking a few vacation days.
Went to the doc and I do have a sinus infection. Antiboitics will be had this evening. Joy?
Yeah, theoretically joy, because the meds should help! As opposed to other things where the only answer is to wait it out...?
So if I'm having trouble sleeping at night due to free-floating anxiety issues, should I drink less coffee, even if I only drink coffee in the morning?
I get 12 or 13 days (it accrues in hours, I can't remember how it adds up), but I'm always having to take time for someone being sick, or random school holidays, or 3 day weekends. We generally only take one actual vacation week a year, and I would love to have two.
We do get the entire period of Xmas-New Year's off. Usually the 24th is a work day, but we're furloughed the 24th and Jan. 4th this year, so that whole stretch everything is closed (and they turn off the power and lower the heat and basically shut all the way down, the whole campus.)

I'm sorry you need the antibiotics, but glad you got them. I wish my sore throat was amenable to antibiotics. I'm taking Frisco in today for his cough - found out one of his caregivers has/had pneumonia. Not that she gave it to him and I had already made the appointment before I learned this, but it just convinced me that there are some powerful germs going around.

Caffiene can linger in the body for something like 17 or 18 hours, so it could help.
