Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I get traumatised just watching coworkers hug each other.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yeah, hugging at work is not on. A world of no.

No harm.

Only coworker I have hugged outside of the ones that are close friends was my officemate when he got laid off. Man, that was weird. But I was crying, too. So epic weird. I miss him. My middle boss gets touchy to all after parties (booze) but I can deflect that.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

This was at her house, so all bets were off.

Hec, that sniper shot story makes me think of Jessica Biel trashing $30k worth of camera equipment because she hit exactly what they had her aim at.

Less deadly, but we are talking Blade 3.

I can't imagine the stress of my reaction to a likkered up grabby work superior.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

You hug-a-phobes have got all kinds of personal space issues. I suspect Yankees and dour Scandanvians. And ita who is sui generis.

Oh no, I've alienated the hug-avoidant.

Even at my gropiest, hugging on the day job was always verboten. And my off hours gropiness was pretty touchy feely. But I made sure to ask spousal permission.

I prefer to think of it as having personal space.
