I think I am pretty safe to say this here, since my sister very rarely posts here anymore, but I'm pretty sure she wrote The Lost Boys fanfic at about 12.

Oh, I remembered one geeky thing. I kept a diary in the dwarf-runes from LOTR for a few months when I was 16.
Aha! Fannish as fuck.
but I'm pretty sure she wrote The Lost Boys fanfic at about 12.
Aha! I'll file that one away, you may be sure.
Yeah, I had the dwarf rune diary thingummy too. But then me and my best friend made up our own code, you know, for added security.
Oh God, how awesome would that be?
It would be SO awesome.
I see you all doing "I'm Mad" or possibly "I'm Cute."
You must be a Goth!Dot some day.
All you'd need is a red nose and a daisy hair tie.

While I am not having to do as much as Aimee for our party today. I was the only organizer and had to wrangle people all day about their gifts as well as answer about 100 questions regarding the gift exchange - and all the regular year-end invoice processing still had to get done as well as emergency shipping crap with a vendor. grr. My boss left the office at 11, did I mention that?

You do realize that one of my best friends put "I'm Cute" on the compilation CD she made that was All About Jilli, right?
(Also, back in my vampire LARPing days, a group of us very nearly convinced the storyteller to let us create characters based off of Wakko, Yakko, and Dot. Yes, I was going to be Dot.)
In the sixth grade, I wrote "Man from U.N.C.L.E." stories that my classmates passed around and read. There was no slash, but I seem to recall a Mary Sue, in the form of my older and much more kick-ass alter ego. Fortunately, they didn't survive various moves. I also spent all my allowance on DC comics.
How did your fannish geekiness first emerge?
About a week after I saw Star Wars, when I started role-playing my made-up SW stories on the playground with my second-grade BFF. She was a good Leia.
Did anyone else hear this in Manuel's voice, from Fawlty Towers?
Every time. It makes the internets a happier place (as long as you're not actually Manuel).
