this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

slips Steph some of my coffee that I had hidden behind the swiss and bacon sandwich

Woot! I want coffee AND a swiss and bacon sandwich!

It's cold, but it's full strength. Steph likes iced coffee.

Oh hell YEAH I do!

My co-workers have informed me that there is a "deli" in our "building" where, apparently, I can exchange money for coffee. HOW IS SUCH A THING POSSIBLE? OH BRAVE NEW WORLD WITH SUCH CAFFEINE IN IT!

Perhaps I'll go downstairs to check out this "exchange of money for coffee" dealio.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Good luck with the interview, Theodosia!

I made buffalo chili last night and have brought the remainder into the office for co-workers to sample today. I feel kind of silly about having been asked my recipe, since it's basically "do what it says on the Bear Creek label, but dissolve brown sugar in the boiling water first and add browned bison meat."

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I don't read enough SciFi, apparently....

This one sounds fun:

The Mount, by Carol Emshwiller (Small Beer Press)
Poetic and intense, The Mount is a deceptively simple story about humans revolting against a group of alien conquerers who love humanity - as pets they can ride on.

Trust my rage

Suzi, for me it was still just a cold, but I did go to the doctor to have them check because I felt so crappy. Im on week 3 of a sore throat, although my nose cleared up around 2.5 weeks.
