What is casual drinking? I only know not drinking and can imagine heavy drinking. A glass or two of wine with dinner three times a week--that's still casual, right?
I would call that regular drinking, but I'm not sure whether that takes it out of the realm of casual or not. It's certainly not heavy drinking.

I wonder the same thing. In my world, a small glass of absinthe three nights a week is casual drinking, but I don't know if the rest of the world would feel the same way.
According to the USDA,
Moderation is defined as the consumption of up to one drink per day for women and up to two drinks per day for men. Twelve fluid ounces of regular beer, 5 fluid ounces of wine, or 1.5 fluid ounces of 80-proof distilled spirits count as one drink for purposes of explaining moderation. This definition of moderation is not intended as an average over several days but rather as the amount consumed on any single day.
Which is what I've more or less internalized, I think, though I wouldn't think any woman having a couple/few drinks of an evening was necessarily overdoing it. Seems like one of those things that depends on the individual to large degree.
That Marvel/Disney poster is great.
Men get double the alcohol of women? Seriously? I could see 50% more, but 100%? Thassa lot.
Yeah, I don't know how they figure that, it does seem like a large difference.
I'm with ita, that's fucking weird.
I go through periods where I drink pretty regularly, but then I'll go dozens of months without drinking anything alcoholic. If I open a bottle of wine to cook and there is some left, I'll have a glass. But honestly, I almost never drink anymore. Even when I do get a beer, I rarely want the whole thing, just the neck, which seems sort of silly.
Hmmm... i'm wondering now if I open wine to cook if I could premeasure and freeze what I'll need for next time?
Yeah, if I open a bottle of wine, then it's a safe bet that the next few days I'll have wine with dinner, but there are also weeks where I don't drink anything.

...
The guardianship was established after a fairly long period of unstable conduct by Courtney Love. The court proceedings, however, are sealed.
