My family can never accurately predict the traffic to my uncle's house, so we're always either late or killing time in Dunkin Donuts. Oops.
For a party, I definitely try to time my lateness based on who I know will be there and my relationship with the host -- like, do I want to be first and just hang out with the host or not.

I might join you--I came home to find a jury summons in the mail (although it is for a standby juror, so I might not have to go downtown; fingers crossed) and my freezer door wide open. I must have nudged it this morning when I put my water in the fridge (although I can't imagine how), because everything in there is warm as can be. Ugh. At least I just have to pitch out two boxes of individually-wrapped chicken breasts and the free box of burgers from Omaha Steaks. The bags of fruits and veggies and the cans of juice concentrate will refreeze.
