took a half day today, so just got into the office.
The two things I tried to get done this morning while off? both frustrating. my post office has an auto-machine, but the recepticle was full, so after gettign postage on 4 packages, I was gonna have to wait on the LONG line to drop them off, no one would come to an empty window to talk to me (I was trying to get them to send someone out to empty the recepticle). SO I took the packages back home, brought 2 into work and got them to the PO here.
Then I went to pick up shoes that I got re-soled andn heeled. They cannot find them.
I think I am just gonna put my head down and try to at least get 1 thing off my desk each half hour I am here.
One problem out of, what 18 pregnancies? That seems like pretty good odds.
I'd like to see the stats about the possible increases in chances of a subsequent problem pregnancy. Of course, it depends entirely on what happened with the first problem pregnancy. I had a cousin whose cervix pretty much
shredded
with her first successful pregnancy (they
tried sewing it shut, but it tore back open
so she was on hospital bed rest for a couple months), and then she got pregnant again after giving birth very early, knowing there was no way she could even go near that far to term again.
OW OW OW OW OW.
(Is there a way to customize CSS so that spoiler-fonted stuff shows up in grey EXCEPT when it's something I would have regretted highlighting?)
Reading that made me wince and huddle in on myself, and I don't even possess the body part involved!
Mrs. Duggar was hospitalized for gallstones at the time of the premature delivery of this child. Surgery on the gall bladder (sometimes necessary) is a risk for premature labor. I really doubt that the Duggars' choice to have a lot of kids was "responsible" for the premature birth of this one; it doesn't even look as though you can "blame" her advanced age (unless gallstones are associated with age, which I dunno).
Good to know, ita.
The Duggars have been very fortunate so far...giving birth is not to be taken lightly...
sounds like ita's cousin might have a similar problem to what my mom had, but I did not read the highlight-font(she found out when my birth took an ugly turn.)
Yep. Glittery vampires is one of the signs of the Rapture.
This is totally believe is true.

This is the first severe premie, but it's her third C-section - three out of her last four births.
Have you seen today's xkcd Jess? It made me think of you.
