LAX to your hotel is not 30 minutes. I don't know where you're staying, but I can assure you of that.
The Safari, where the LA F2F was. Google Maps estimates 32 minutes, but its possible they were assuming I was Jack Bauer.
I had Chipotle leftovers for lunch. Barracoa bowl.
We ordered in from Chipotle today! And I had a vegetarian burrito bowl. It was the first time I've had a bowl, and I feel there was too much lettuce and not enough rice. That said, their guacamole always makes me happy.

Definitely! I live half the distance away and I can't guarantee I can get home in half an hour. And you gotta go on the 101, which can make the 405 look like the Autobahn. Nah, it's about 30 miles--how are you supposed to observe the speed limit and still drive on surface streets and make it in 32 minutes if there are a) other cars b) traffic lights?
The Lovely Bones, really? Huh. I liked it well enough. That's an odd list.
I had a surprisingly good frozen mexican thing for lunch, which would have been better if I hadn't microwaved it, but now I wish I had Chipotle. The lunch wasn't actually enough, so maybe cereal for a snack before I go grocery shopping.
It is hilarious what the people I work with think normal people will think is important. Spoiler: they are not things normal people would think are important.
That's an odd list.
Yeah. Like if you read the first two Twilight books and regretted reading them, what would make you think reading the third one was a good idea?
I find the easiest way to pick or be sure of flights/airlines is go to the website of the airport.
I'm pretty sure VAT is just UK. Other countries have different rules. VAT applies to services, for instance, so it's not just a sales tax. I couldn't say if the same applies for all of the EU.
VAT is throughout Europe. I don't know about ordering online, but for purchases on-site you had to spend a certain amount in a specific store to get the refund when you passed through customs. The tax is pretty high though (I want to say close to 20% depending on the country), so worth asking about.
Oh, crap, I forgot -- reason #1 I have to go to the grocery store today is that I'm out of milk. And cheese. I'm afraid I'll have no snack at all.
