It's a long video (16 minutes), so I'll be watching it in full at home. The beginning is funny, though!
ION, Time magazine has its Top 10 issue for 2009. Lots of timewasting available there.

That video is so awesome -- well worth watching the whole thing.
I worked for two years in a country where it didn't get above freezing *in the school I worked in*.
So if I wanna complain about 40 degrees and rainy, I shall. Honestly I'd rather have snow than cold rain. Although 5 degrees is a bit much.
It was 5 this morning. Just saying.
Someone is pretty much always colder than you are. It doesn't make you warm, does it?
And you said you needed no validation, ita.
And now, a picture of a dog wearing a scuba suit: [link]

oh, man, just catching up! I can't believe I missed the engagement ring conversation...so I'm starting it again. Here's mine:
(sorry if I've posted this already. I'm a total nerd for my engagement/wedding plans right now.)
It's vintage (20s or 30s, lady we got it from didn't have exact date) and we got it at a flea market, the Big Flea, which is kind of hilarious to me. Fiance was more insistent about there being a ring than I was, neither of us bought into the 3 Months Salary bullshit, I didn't want a new diamond ring, wasn't sure I wanted a diamond. As I was looking on Etsy mostly, this sort of style of ring stood out as something I thought I would feel good about wearing all the time so that's what we began looking for. The lady we bought from had about a dozen rings I wanted to try and she made them all the same (reasonable) price so I didn't have to take that into account. Also, she has the same last name as my fiance!
I LOVE my ring. LOVE IT.
I also love offbeatbride and I Loooooooooove the woman making my dress (and her partner).
We talked about what I wanted a bit on the phone then I came in for a consultation and she started by saying, "I'm thinking of Elizabeth Taylor in Butterfield 8 for the neckline."
So perfect for me!!! And it's not really going to be that spendy considering. Unfortunately I now want all my clothing custom made.
How many things are wrong with this ad?
Weird old ad for dishwasher: "A 10-Year-Old Can Do It Blindfolded!"
Fiance was more insistent about there being a ring than I was,
I think that's the case for a lot of the more-conservative wedding/marriage decisions among my female friends. They don't necessarily care about (the ring/changing their name/whatever), but it matters to the guy, so they go along. Which I think is totally fine!
