Always Anti-fascist!

What the pregnant lady said.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Listen to the pregnant ladies, for they are our future. Or something.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It is kind of stunning to me that we've been around long enough for TCBITW to turn ten.

Relatedly, I was thinking about the kids on my block, who I see all the time, and realizing that the new little kids actually are new little kids -- I've lived there almost five years, so the toddlers have been born since I lived there, and the little ones were babies.

TCBITW was the reason I ended up here. My wife worked in the evening so I did all the evening baby stuff. Anyhow, that led to watching TV while doing rocking and feeding. Watching TV led to watching BtVS (I think Hush was the first episode I saw, but I'm not sure). Then I got curious about the backstory and discovered the BtVS thread at TT.

Yay, send her my thanks. Having children substantially increased my TV viewing. It could be I was never home before then, or had energy to do more than watch TV.

My boss and I were discussing whether "concatenate" and "catenate" mean the same thing. It looks like they do. Weird.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

My youngest nephew blew my mind when I first saw him on vacation--he'll be 13 in November, and he's almost as tall as me already!

Actually, he blew his sister's mind as well. While I was out there, she got back from a 3-week trip to Europe (regional band tour), and they came over for dinner the next day. I guess she hadn't measured herself against Dylan in a while, because when I said something about him probably being taller than her, she immediately denied it until we had them stand next to each other. When she saw that he was taller than her, she gave him a light slap across the face for outgrowing her (not abusive, just older-sistery). He got the biggest grin on his face and she mock-pouted for a bit.

We like it too! I'm really happy with the kid's names. Maybe we should have gone with a middle name that starts with 'O' for Leif though. Then his initials would be LOL and that would be SO fitting.
