You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Huh--on yesterday's Jeopardy, Siddarth (the contestant in the middle who was jumping all over the board with his choices) was the guy whom George Allen, the Repub nominee for Virginia governor a few years ago, called "Macaca." They didn't mention it on the air, but someone at TWOP remembered him.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I hate the realisation that a part of my wardrobe needs to be replaced. I hate the realisation as I wear it to work. I need new black trousers. Which means no online shopping, since it's picky fitting and styling.

Office and day are warmer today! Whew. Not warm. But warmer. So good.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

hivemind - I need to get the food order in for our party. This is an after-work party, it will be dinner for people. Food is platters of finger food. The bar is recommending 5 pieces/person or the meat/heartier things (beef/shrimp skewers, chicken tenders, veggie rolls). I am thinking 10-12. thoughts?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

How long is the party? Generally the rule is 2-3 pieces per person per hour for cocktails, 4-5 pp for dinner.

Depends on the size, I think -- if the skewer etc. is bigger than than a typical finger food -- multiple bites of meat -- than you wouldn't need as many.

That's the rule of thumb I tend to use, and I *always* have food left over.
