That's beautiful. Or taken literally, incredibly gross.

Don't worry, the proles in economy were resenting you mightily!

Neat trip, other than the drama.

Sounds like WW3 upstairs. It's just Loki attacking the freshly made guest bed.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I just feel like there ought to be a way to make first class slightly less extravagant and coach slightly less miserable.

The shrimp risotto I had on the way back was aces, though.

beth, the offer of help is appreciated. honestly, I wouldn't let anyone over to help, though. I have way too much guilt anytime I leave the house. Even with spraying down our shoes each time and never wearing anything that has not been treated and kept in plastic, I fear spreading them.

ok, off to pick up more laundry.

Oh god, msbelle, I'd missed that you were dealing with bedbugs! I am so sorry! I've been paranoid about them since my return (everything got washed in hot, luggage is in bags for a good long time) since one of the hotels others in the group stayed at had them. I think I dodged a bullet, but mosquito season finally breaking out on my return home didn't help the paranoia.

well, within the week, I will have a high heat machine for treating luggage and other non-washables, so should I ever take such a trip, now I will be prepared. head. desk.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I just got back from Maine yesterday. Had to share this picture -- possibly the cutest little Democratic headquarters ever. [link]

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Every so often we see a video of a robot getting all uncanny-valley-ish by moving in ways we've never seen robots move before. This is one of those: Toyota’s running humanoid robot

My joy over the new sushi place having uni on the menu is somewhat countered by it not tasting as good as I recall and costing almost nine bucks for two pieces of nigiri. However, the rolls I got tonight were great (the place has really excelled in food quality for all my visits after the first), and I was seated in exceedingly cute young waiter's section again.

He thanked me for being so friendly... ah, kiddo, if you only knew how friendly I'd like to get with you...
