Do I wish I was somebody else right now. Somebody not... married, not madly in love with a beautiful woman who can kill me with her pinkie!

“Not dead yet!”

Shir, I'm so sorry that that's something that happened on your birthday and so close to you and most of all, that it's just such a heartbreaking, horrible thing to have happened at all.

Deck construction postponed due to rain. Parents to airport in about 15 minutes. Pictures of my paternal grandmother & her parents and grandparent: [link] [link] [link] [link]

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

{{{Shir}}} I'm so sorry to hear that.

Happy anniversary, Miracleborns!!

And, to make this a completely disjointed post, I just finished watching a rerun of Moonshot that was on the History Channel yesterday. It was a docudrama about Apollo 11, and co-starred James Marsters as Buzz Aldrin! He was quite good, but I was a bit disappointed that the movie stopped after they splashed down, instead of following them into their post-moon-landing lives.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Yes, Shir, wondered if the shooting was "close" to you and Nilly.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I wish I could think of something to do to the friend of my husband's family who sends us racist, misogynist, and homophobic e-mail forwards. He's not my acquaintance, so I can't really say anything, but I do delete his messages if they're crap.

I wish I could do something just slightly annoying every time he sends one of those things. Like giving him a little shock when his fingers touch the keyboard.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Dana, I had a similar problem with a cousin's husband. I took his email address and promptly began signing him up for various lefty liberal websites and random spam. I got fewer email forwards after that.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

He's not my acquaintance, so I can't really say anything

I think if he's forwarding you stuff he's elevated himself to the position of technical acquaintance, at least to the point where you should be able to ask to get off his forward list. Or maybe your husband can wangle a way?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

He's forwarding stuff to our joint e-mail account, which I'm usually the one who checks.

I am tempted by the lefty spam, but he's also old, and I would feel guilty, I guess.

Parents are gone, carpets are deep cleaned, guest laundry is in the dryer. I need a shower, dinner, make my lunch and to have a come undone with booze.
