Now tagless for your comfort.

My children have adapted to the new bedtime but refuse to stay in bed past 6:30. It's making me very cranky.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

At least they didn't land on your head?

Technically true but Liv does tend to kick me in the head from time to time if she managed to crawl into our bed when I'm too tired to take her back to her own.

Pfft. I wish I had a root and could sleep into the gloriously late hour of 6:30.

Last night I slept from 9:30 to 2am and that was the longest uninterrupted stretch I've had this week.

Matilda is killing us.

Would it be possible to cut out her naps, Hec? Or would that be MORE impossible? Both my instantly stopped napping when they turned 2, but at least there were 10 hours of sleep at night.

Sorry about lack of sleep, Hec. That sounds rough.

I think the worst part of the sleep dep was how snappish DH and I got with each other. When you're both exhausted, it's hard to be civil.

Last night kinda sucked sleep-wise for me as well. Got to sleep at 12:30, woke up at 4:00, tried to sleep until 6:00. Hopefully I'll just sort of pass out tonight and get a good 6-7 hours of sleep.

That's definitely an issue. She's down to just an hour long nap at daycare.

It's more that she keeps waking up and won't go back to sleep readily. This week (while we've been insisting that she sleep in her bed all night) she's up every couple hours like a newborn.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah, I slept really bad last night. Downstairs guy was making a lot of noise; upstairs guy was yelling at him.

Also, yesterday I emailed my boss (who's in London) telling him I'd be in at 8:00 this morning, and if this was not OK he should text me. So he texts me at 1:00 a.m. (7:00 a.m. London time) to tell me 8:00 is OK. Of course that woke me up too. And then I woke up at 6:00 and couldn't get back to sleep....
