Zoe: Preacher, don't the Bible have some pretty specific things to say about killing? Book: Quite specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I'm trying not to freak but it's a strange prospect.

London, or somewhere else? You'd find it's not that different here (except in some amusing ways. And you can't find pancakes or Kraft macaroni and cheese. Stock up).

Oh yes, visit UnAmerica, Cash! We might be able to arrange an F2F.

Fun!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

But you can find flour, eggs, milk and butter, cheese and macaroni, right? It's not like trying to find peanut butter in London in the 80s or anything.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Kraft Mac and Cheese =/= cheese + noodles.

I tend to prefer cheese + noodles, but I get having Strongly Held Preferences on these issues (I have long preferred Kraft to shells&cheese.)

Oh, insomnia fairy, why do you visit on a Friday night?

Well, I've never had Kraft mac and cheese, and the best mac and cheese I've had was the stuff at school in London, so I'm singularly unqualified to opine. But the pancakes should be easy.

Definitely

Tis too early to be awake.

It really, really is.

This. I've never been able to make mac & cheese that came close to Kraft. Maybe it's because I was a very young 'un when I lived in the States (well, 18), but nothing else tastes that good.

Pancakes, yeah, I should learn to make those. I mostly just burn things to the griddle and give up. I do have a sweet* Canadian friend who brings me real maple syrup when she goes home. I swear, the syrup I can get in the supermarket is not made from maple anything.

Nothing more reassuring than the sound of my dad swearing on my porch in the morning...

No, I do not have a whatsit, thingamabob, dinger. I don't have, nor will probably ever have, the extensive workshop you do.

And before 8 am. My neighbors will love me, thanks.

“Not dead yet!”

Kraft mac and cheese is stuff not found in nature. Tasty, to be sure, but not to ever be recreated by naturally occurring foodstuffs.

Y'know, Cash, as someone who's also in the boat of possibly moving a really frak-ass long distance, I say relax and go with the flow. It's an adventure, right?
