Joyce: And what did you do tonight? Dawn: Irritated Giles. I'm beginning to get why Buffy likes it so much.

'Get It Done'

Natter 64: Yes, we still need you

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Okay, the endorphin high from a small tattoo? It wasn't all that. Nor a bag of chips.

So, are there exercise or martial arts highs that will make it more worthwhile? It'd be cool and fun to try, if it's likely.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

One of the machines I used today pressed right on my shin where I have a bruise. From falling up the stairs.

ION: GODDAMNIT, SAINTS.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Utley with another home run. Dude has gone off. Five home runs in five World Series games? I don't know if Ruth did that.

I don't think that qualifies as News. That's the default setting.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Not this year.

They scored two touchdowns in 24 seconds at the end of the second half!

They're still winning.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I didn't get anything perceptible from either tat outing. Even exercise I don't like pays off better than that.

Then I am still in the game. Or willing to try it out.

I mean, there was a pleasant sensation once the OUCH and $%^&NEEDLE@#$% stuff went away, but not enough to make it worth it had I not wanted some permanent darkness on my skin.

Maybe I should try martial arts. If I can find one where I won't be hit?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Y'all are reminding me. We has krav here now! On the one day a week we aren't fencing, maybe soon once we're over the flu.

Capoeira, some versions of kung fu, depending on the school. But the adrenalin rush is more intense the more intense the potential jeopardy, I find, and that pays off in the aftereffects.
