I don't tend to name things
Natter 64: Yes, we still need you
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I don't name things, either, although I did call my very first bought-by-me car (a pale blue '73 Ford LTD) "The Big Blue Boat," BBB for short. I only had it the summer between freshman and sophomore year in college (no need for it on campus), but it was a cool car to drive around in, if a pain to parallel park.
The names that come with the OS or that the computer repair shop puts on things burn my eyes. I have to rename them. Things like my car that don't actually communicate with other entities (to my knowledge--I never plug into it, so I don't care) don't get named so much.
I can't read the geneology link. For some reason every time I open the page, it scrolls to the bottom and I can't get it back up.
Delete the # from the end of the URL, then refresh.
My ipod is Podney. Two Macs have been Pandora and Neo...no imagination at all.
Cars have been Dexter (Civic), Belle (59 Belvedere and Milly (Rabbit).
Hey, ita, this picture made me think of you: [link]
Hah! I saw a BBC headline something like "Fastest Man Adopts Cheetah" but I couldn't open the link at work, so didn't know what it meant. That's awesome.
The world's fastest man adopted the animal kingdom's fastest sprinter Monday, as Usain Bolt welcomed a new baby cheetah named Lightning Bolt into his life.
Oh, he's not, like, living with him. Aw.
The world record-holder in the 100 and 200 meters paid $13,700 to formally adopt the cub. He will also pay $3,000 a year to care for Lighting Bolt, who will be raised at an animal orphanage in Nairobi.

How much do I love this?
He nearly ran away when asked Monday to pet a fully grown cheetah named Sharon for a photo shoot with Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga. Bolt had Zeitz stand in for him, until he saw that Sharon seemed harmless.
So terribly terribly much.
And I'm terribly relieved that the cheetah won't be coming near Jamaica.
