Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

I may have to seize the cat.

ChiKat - I listen almost exclusively to showtunes, so I'm not sure that's anti-goth. (Of course, yesterday, I discussed with my husband exactly which showtunes were and were not Goth... We determined that the Phantom of the Opera, the Jekyll & Hyde Concept Album, and Sweeney Todd are all decidedly goth.) But the tiny black wardrobe and the country music may put you firmly in that category.

Though it occurs to me that it probably really doesn't matter who is and is not goth anyway.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I completely agree with every single one of these statements. Can I have a nap now?

Compassionately intolerant

I have one of those overly organized closets. It makes it very clear that I have a) very little imagination and b) I'm more comfortable in black than any other color. Black stretch velvet makes up for at least 20 percent of the 97% black in my wardrobe. (so comfy)

Considering that I get the vast majority of my new clothes through clothing exchanges, I assume that I'm the repository for all my black-curious friends who give up on the palette.

My problem with wearing black is that I am blonde, green eyes, pale skin. I look like I'm about to pass out or be sick when in black. So, the black I do own tends to go at the bottom of me. Which in my world means pants because I don't wear skirts hardly ever.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Forget baseball -- the Saints are on Monday Night Football. There might be some frenzy.

Our wings are not tired.

Apparently I have no inner goth. There is more white in my wardrobe than other colors. One glance in the closet screams South Florida with the pastels and bright colors. I'm fairly certain I have never worn eyeliner. I can't remember the last time I wore any makeup. I do own black, but it is worn with white or other color.

Because books.

I have a lot of inner goth, in that I love haunted things and ghost stories and graveyards and vampires and decay, but I don't really dress goth. I have a lot of black in my wardrobe, but it's more used-to-work-in-NY black, really.

You might I have a lot of inner Goth, if you look at my wardrobe (especially my work wardrobe - all black, grey, navy, etc). There's a lot of red, and occasional pops of bright color (turquoise is a favorite) Or, it could be that I'm just a boring dresser.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am not sure if it is from living in NYC, but I don;t associate wearing a lot of black with goth.

I guess it is one of those one way causational relationships. lots of black does not necessarily equal goth, goth almost certainly equals lots of black.

Regardless, I have less and less black in my wardrobe. Brown is a much better color for me. Still lots of black skirts and coats.

I may have to seize the cat.

When I was a kid, other kids said you should hold your breath when passing a graveyard, because otherwise you might inhale a ghost.

Even now I breathe deeply every time I pass one. It's almost involuntarily at this point.

Sadly, no ghost yet.
