The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I had my first Vesper martini last night

Having googled, that sounds good! Deadly, but good.

Sadly, out in the Sunset where I was

Is that the SF Sunset? Are you in the area?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Sigh. I expect better from the NY Times when it comes to interpreting statistics. From an article about how many jobs were created by the stimulus money: [link]

Michigan, whose unemployment rate of 15.3 percent was the highest in the nation, reported creating or saving 22,514 jobs, the ninth most in the nation. But Rhode Island, whose 13 percent unemployment rate made it the third highest in the nation, ranked near the bottom with 2,012 jobs.

You can't compare percentages with raw numbers like that!

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Slept in the extra hour this morning and I feel great. Watching the NY marathon that I taped -- no one spoil me!

hwæt

I had the TV in the background, and I thought I heard them say that Cthulu had won the NYC Marathon.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I heard that too, Tom. And that he had devoured the competition.

Not reading that! I don't want to know!

It is good and it is deadly. I had two and after the second I was sort of staring off into space like a zombie and I realized I was done for the night. I've never had them before but it may be my martini of choice now. I will stick with one in the future.

Just last night. I was over at a friend's house. I did the two bridge trek (wasn't too bad actually, better than the Bay Bridge on a regular Sat. night) from the East Bay.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Not reading that! I don't want to know!

It's safe, unless the NYC Marathon is allowing some very unusual participants this year.

Thank you PC, but what you don't know is that Paula Radcliffe is widely rumored to be Cthulu, so that *could* be a spoiler.

Ha ha ha. Sorry, I am not up on my runner mythology.

(Really sorry if I actually spoiled you. I thought it was just a funny mishearing.)
