Tenko
I loved that show for the first two seasons and then lost track of it. This might explain it, according to wikipedia:
Between the second and third series, a year passed. The controller of BBC1 decided to axe Tenko at the height of its popularity at the end of the second series (it was the BBC's then highest rated drama programme). This was believed to be due to the fact that women were engines of the story with no aspect of men represented.
Yep. It was too good.
Now that I know there was another series, plus a reunion movie, I'm off to find it.
I also loved The Old Men at the Zoo.
Oddly, I remember TOMatZ as horrifyingly apocalyptic but wikipedia tells me the show and the Angus Wilson novel (1961) were meant to be comically satirical. reallly. huh.

I actually own a copy of Raising Helen because John Corbett is in it. Thus is my hardcore admiration.
I was recently surprised...though I don't know why...to learn that he has been in a 'long term relationship' with the one and only Bo Derek. I was somewhat less surprised by the country music career.
I remember seeing Tenko in college and being completely sucked in. I first started watching because Leela from Doctor Who was on it, and then stuck around for the rest of the ladies, including Stephanie Beacham.
IcompletelyON, the NYT has a great article on the Obama marriage.
that one with Judi Dench
The one with her and her husband? I loved that.
Well, there was A Fine Romance, with her husband Michael Williams, which originally ran in the 80s, I think.
There was also "As Time Goes By", which was with Geoffrey Palmer (who is not her husband) but is more recent.

That's repeated all the time on the BBC. Really sweet show.
CBS Crimetime after Primetime.
Justice may be blind...but it can still see in the dark!
Was that Silk Stalkings, etc.?
The main things I remember from childhood tv are the Love Boat, soaps, and Schoolhouse Rock.
Was that Silk Stalkings, etc.?
Yeah -- I just wiki'ed it and it was Forever Knight, too, but I pretty much only associate Dark Justice with it.
Good times.
My moving company just called to ask if they could come tomorrow morning instead of afternoon. Hmmm. She said afternoon would be OK, but I can't decide what's better! I mean, I think I can be done packing tonight, but my friend wasn't planning on coming over until mid-afternoon, and basically my whole mental schedule is based on leaving late. I wish the options were not only first thing in the morning, or late afternoon!
