This is not funny. This... this is a morality tale about the evils of sake.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Super cool.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

It is super cool. And I don't want to be cremated unless I can specify whose face to throw my ashes in.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Definitely cool, Hec. Also validation.

I kinda like the shroud thing. Although coolest burial I've come across so far is to be entombed in New Orleans, because the tombs heat up so much that within a year most bodies are naturally cremated.

Living in LA it unlikely that I would end up buried in NO. I'll have to look into whether or not the mausoleums in LA do the same thing.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Definitely cool, Hec. Also validation.

sniff I'm only an expert on a handful of things, but by gum I know my Spy Jazz, Bubblegum and Tom Waits!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Some guy just sent me a picture of his wife and daughter to put up on my provocateuse site. Not as traumatic as the nude full frontal self-portrait I once received, but quite missing the point. He seemed so proud of them in the email. I'm not sure how to reply to him.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I'm late to the chocolate discussion, but these are my favourites: [link] [link] [link] All Cadbury. I missed real Cadbury chocolate so much during my year in the US that my family had to send me care packages full of it. SO good.

Maltesers are also nice. But they're Mars chocolate. Not so good.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Burrell,

if you can trace a family line to NO and the family had a plot, you used to be able to have rights to use it.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Bah. I put in my earplugs last night because someone was playing music and slept through my alarm at 5:00 a.m. this morning. I was supposed to be at work at 6:00 today, but just got here at 7:00. Today was supposed to be a critical day with implementation of this new software at London, but there's been a delay, so it ended up not mattering that I overslept.

So yay. Now I just have a dentist appointment to leave for in half an hour....

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The greenest route is probably donating my body to medical research, but I'm also quite enamoured of the Life Gem idea.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I like the idea of stipulating that any heirs will only receive their portion of the estate as long as they wear a Life Gem made out of me.

Of course, the idea falls apart when I realize my "estate" consists of comic books.
