I'm trying as much as I can to cut refined sugar out of my diet right now.
I try to do this often. And -- though it probably doesn't need to be said -- fail often. I feel so much better when I don't eat refined sugar products, but god, it tastes SO GOOD.
After Halloween, I need to give it a serious shot again. (No way it'll happen before Halloween, not with mini Snickers and Milky Ways in the house. Although as of today, the bags are still unopened.)
The only candy I really go for these days are those Cadbury cream eggs at Easter. Though as a kid I loved Bottlecaps, DinaSour Eggs, Fun Dip, and Everlasting Gobstoppers.
Clearly, Willy Wonka had my number.
Steph have tried getting candy at a health food store made with either maple syrup or agave or brown rice syrup?

No, but I've meant to try agave. Have you tried it?
Yes, back in my days of freetime, I was working on changing recipes to low-glycemic sugars and non-white flour. I like it but it only comes in liquid.
God, now I want some Whoppers SO bad.
Have you had Maltesers? AKA Whoppers, but better?
Maltesers are my OTcandy. I can't find them easily, though.
There is a small ice cream company that makes some unusual flavors of ice cream. The best one so far is malted milk ball ice cream ... I had it once, have never been able to find it again. sigh.

Our Cost Plus usually has them.

I've never even heard of them!
