Wash: I didn't think you were one for rituals and such. Mal: I'm not, but it'll keep the others busy for a while. No reason to concern them with what's to be done.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I like gummi colas quite a bit

My sistah!

Huh, I've never met anyone who loved those....

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Way in which Natter is handy dandy other than for nattering: I just checked last year's halloween post to see how many kids I had come to the door last year so I would have enough treats this year.

I do this with old LJ posts a lot.

Huh, I've never met anyone who loved those....

Gummi colas are fun times!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Peanut M&Ms. Though I have been swayed by the occasional Nutrageous bars I've found in Emmett's halloween bag.

Here's the balance sheet on my day so far.

Cons: Emmett's sick; Bridge is down; Had to collect him via BART; just broke the measuring cup.

Pros: Measuring cup broke inside the mixing bowl so minimal cleanup; I just made the best hot and sour soup for Emmett from scratch. He's never had it before, but he's lapping it up. I hope it healthifies him.

Heh. This is probably a really boring story, but I grew up on a farm near a small town so life was pretty boring. Sometimes my friends and I would go for drives just for the hell of it. For some reason we got into the habit of driving to Manawa, a town even smaller than ours, to buy candy. So once we took my dad's '71 Ford Camper Special pickup truck, the back window of which could open. On the way back we were throwing Red Hots and Malted Milk Balls out the back window.

Later, I discovered that we had spilled Malted Milk Balls all over the inside of the truck. I was finding them for months. And some Red Hots had landed in the back of the truck, which was half-full of snow. The Red Hots had partially melted, leaving these huge red spots in the white snow.

See, I told you growing up near a small town was boring....
