Angel: He is dead. Technically, he's undead. It's a zombie. Connor: What's a zombie? Angel: It's an undead thing. Connor: Like you? Angel: No, zombies are slow-moving, dimwitted things that crave human flesh. Connor: Like you. Angel: No! It's different. Trust me.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm sorry, Aurelia.

Where where where??

Wakefield—in scenic Gogebic County. Home of happiness! Or at least, home to a bunch of my paternal Finnish immigrant ancestors. The distant cousin may be coming over from Finland to trace some family tree stuff. Of course, being from Finland she probably won't notice any climatic differences. As I've lived in NC since 1983, I doubt I can say the same. Still, distant cousin from Finland—meeting her could be fun. And I don't really mind snow if I'm not the one who has to shovel it.

Our wings are not tired.

Aurelia, that is so sad. I'm sorry.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

I'm sorry, aurelia.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Aurelia, that's just awful.

Aurelia, I'm so sorry.

..

Tonight's swim was possibly the worst ever. Couldn't get everything working right, have a pulled chest muscle, breathing was all off, it was a struggle. But I'm pleasantly exercised now, so it was still worth it.

Is anyone familiar with Lifestride shoes--how they fit, if they are comfortable, etc?

I have a pair of wedges that are cute, fit great, are very well padded, and I love them. I just picked up a pair of Mary Jane style Lifestrides that don't fit quite as well and make my arches ache in less than half a mile.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good news, Cindy. Continued good health to you.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Glad to read your good news, Cindy!

Loki has rediscovered the ball-in-track scratchpad. It's in the room right above my head. And it's FREAKING ANNOYING. I need to put it on a carpet or something. I'm sure if next door can hear it, he hates me.
