If you were getting a thank you gift for something professional, would you rather get flowers or something else, like chocolate?
Spa certificate, Amy?

perkins is there a drug store close by? I would go buy a pair of thick socks or some type of slipper.

I don't have the budget for that at the moment, sadly. I'm thinking cupcakes for my editor and flowers for my agent, since I think she might groan at cupcakes.
I think flowers are great.

I think that sounds lovely. I'm also wrestling with what to give my agent and editor.

I actually have a pair of sneakers in my office that I am now wearing.
They fixed the elevators, thankfully. Down is harder on my knee, and I'm pretty sure going down 8 floors in a non-emergency situation would end up involving me sitting on the stairs and bouncing my way down.
I've gotten coffee and teas as professional gifts and they were much appreciated.
When I left for work this morning, my apartment building's elevator was working, but reeking. It just stank like something had gone really stale, which I discovered when I got off on the first floor was due to the water all over the floor. I thought maybe something in the laundry room, across from the elevator, had sprung a leak, but when I called the management office, they told me it was the entire complex having issues with the pipes backing up. I hope they get it fixed today!
Well, I decided on flowers for my editor and rooster towels for my agent, which is a joke based on the manuscript she just sold.
