Illyria: We cling to what is gone. Is there anything in this life but grief? Wesley: There's love. There's hope...for some. There's hope that you'll find something worthy...that your life will lead you to some joy...that after everything...you can still be surprised. Illyria: Is that enough? Is that enough to live on?

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I have spent a lot of time in O'Hare. This airport is worse than O'Hare.

Flying cross-country in first class, though? Pretty damn sweet.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

they're raising the registration rates in NH as of August 1st it seems. According to a friend of my father's on the town board this can be done four months in advance of the registration date (which for me is September). Guess I know what I'm doing when I go home next week. And then I need to get back up there before October to get inspected, wee!

Why, yes, I'm milking my homestates cheaper fees and lack of lines at the townhall and DMV. I'm waiting for Cancer to sick the cops on me because she's just that anal and already had a freaked-out panicked rant at me about it.

Okay. I'm going to the gym now to work out some rage and stress issues, then I'm going home, filling out the car donation forms, asking them to expedite the hell out of it, and then I guess I'm cleaning everything out of my car.

I've been lured onto Facebook under false pretenses! My sister said she had pictures of my niece and nephew and grand-niece, but she fibbed! Now I've friended people and I see other people from multiple worlds I live in, and stuff may collide. This 21st century is intimidating.

I have been assimilated. I just searched for an old boyfriend, but fortunately he's not there. Otherwise . . . but I'd friend him just to mock, because he turned out to be right wingnut. Just as well.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm watching Kathy Griffin, and I think she's at the very table at Roscoe's that I sat at! Unless they all have weird panelling like that...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Weird. I caught a bit of a Bones ep and saw Jamal Walker Smith and swore he had to be related to Greg Morris from the original Mission: Impossible. I was all smug when I turned out to be right (please ignore the lack of life this evinces), but was startled to then learn that Phil Morris is Greg's son. I totally don't see the resemblance that seemed so obvious with Jamal. Weird how those things can skip a generation. Jamal totally has his grandfather's eyes.
