Yes, there is. There's a hurry, Xander. I'm dying...I may have as few as fifty years left.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

You should be able to get and install blackout shades like curtains. I had some in my bedroom and they were quite effective.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Is the frame of the door metal? Cause there are blackout type shades you can get that stick to the door with magnets. I think. I actually want something like this for my deck door, but really I want one that sticks at top & bottom. I hate stuff flapping around. I should probably have just gotten those fancy integrated blinds. Cause those are cool.

I didn't sleep until about four last night too, but my not sleeping had less party in it. Yeah, I'm on Day 10 of being sidelined with flu-like symptoms. I have no idea what kind it is, but since it's mild and it appears that I couldn't even get it typed if I wanted to unless it's severe, and treatment for both is pretty much lie around and drink herbal tea, I haven't bothered. I'm fine, it's just the nasal drip and resulting cough at the moment. Way better than the fever and aches and sore throat and OMGDIE stage.

Missing (paid) lessons today and performance, but it's clear I wouldn't be teaching any voice lessons anyway. Plan for next week is to cancel entirely because it's getting a bit much for the SO to do by himself. Our bassist had it last month, so he's given me strict orders to stay down a few days after I feel 100% as his was prolonged because he kept thinking he was better and getting up and at 'em too early. I dunno about waiting until that long after I'm 100%, but I'm not close to 100% yet, so not an issue.

Bored, though.

Oh! I got your Bible, Dana! It's lovely. Will paypal you after payday.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Cause there are blackout type shades you can get that stick to the door with magnets.

Oh, really? All my windows have metal frames and I hate the blinds that I have right now...off to google...

Sorry the ick is hanging around so long, Liese. I always hate that limbo of being not sick enough to feel like resting all the time is the only option, but not well enough to be able to actually do anything else.

Eta: aluminum frames, not magnetic, boo.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It was here we were talking about Tinkerbell's new outfit, right? I just saw the ad for the movie she's wearing it in, and I totally turned gay from the moment they said "America's most famous fairy"....

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You should be able to get and install blackout shades like curtains.

But I'd need to attach them to something--and no, Liese--it's a wooden door. So no joy. I'll keep thinking.

I am having such a blank with menu-planning. I'm so out of practice.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Contact paper, maybe?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Tinfoil on the windows is the cheap & dirty method I learned from reading parenting blogs. It's not pretty, but it works.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just had peas for a snack. Just peas. It's going to be a sad, sad week of eating before I move. IN SIX DAYS. Yikes.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

A neighbor just came and took my desk and chair! Yay! I only ever used them to leave crap on, and I got them for free in a previous apartment, so no great loss that I couldn't get anyone to pay me money for them.

I got my ring back, and now I'm taking it off to go swim. Managed to cram a pedicure into my trip as well. There was other stuff to do that isn't getting done. Oh well. It's raining too much to walk or put the screen up on the deck.
