My mom bought noah a harmonica. WHY? And why did she get one for herself and why are they both playing them before 6:00 AM?

That is just evil. You must have done something very very awfgul to her in your childhood, even if you don;t remember. :D

Did her mom give you a drum set when you were three? That's the only rational I can imagine.

“Not dead yet!”

Oy vey, that's just brutal. Not to mention, malicious.

Our wings are not tired.

I apologize for the volume of my laughter at this post.

It is 61F! I am sitting here with a blanket over me. This thrills me beyond reason. It has been a long hot summer. Just Friday it was 91. I don't know how long it will last, but yard work is on my list. And riding my bike to work instead of driving. And sitting outside to watch the sunset. Whee!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

It is 45F and doloriously raining here.

It's fifty here, and sunny and gorgeous. I'm wearing sweats and looking forward to watching football later.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Today's high is 47. Tomorrow it will be 70, so I'm looking forward to riding my bike to work.

We've had the coldest October in something like 150 years - it's the second coldest ever (since records have been taken).

Because books.

My mom once bought Jake a wooden train whistle. I didn't speak to her for a week.

It's not quite 50 here, sunny and crisp and very fall-like. LOVE.

What is even happening?

My mother has bought harmonicas, train whistles, and all manner of noise-making toys. Some grandparents are no better than they have to be.

Ummm.... no. not that I remember. Keep in mind she got him this: [link] for Christmas.

I was feeling guilty that he is (1) sleeping in the room she is in and (2) up at 5:00 AM. I guess I'm over feeling bad about that.

Welcome to the repressed midwesterners noise grudge match.
