"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

It's so weird because outside of jammies, I rarely find things I want at Children's Place. Weird, right? The boy clothes are all so skater/football/baseball playah. But we do need new pants yet none in N's size. gr. argh.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Chip Skip's not actually a base coat, it's a nail cleaner/degreaser. So it can help application, but won't prevent staining. Nail Envy can be used as a base, though it has ingredients that my nails don't like. Some of the nail board people really love the Sally Hansen insta dri top coat. I found my polish crazed like old china with it, so YMMV.

Mmm. Nails. Glad they worked out!

information libertarian

Plei, what do you recommend for nails that are all yucky due to months of dark-colored polish? Not just discolored, but starting to peel? Should I be using a base coat to protect them? (These are toenails, if that matters. They grow so slowly that they get a lot of layers of polish and polish remover in a summer - I tend to leave them bare in the winter to recover.)

Now tagless for your comfort.

Nail polish is fascinating--it's a combination of chemistry and technique. Kind of like baking.

Flea, I am of the always use a basecoat school. I would say to take your buffer to them now to smooth them out/remove some staining, then use a basecoat on them, possibly a damage-hiding one like Barielle Natural Nail Camoflauge.

Funeralled and memorialled.

Came home and went through clothes. Now have a large box full and 3 rarely worn suits. Probably worth doing another go-through, but I need to go shopping before I finally commit some things to the heap. Winter's coming, need the sweaters.

Tried to vacuum, but the belt is slipping, so....I need a new vacuum one of these days.
