Congratulations to the class of 1999. You all proved more or less adequate.

Unexpected smile: yesterday when a client told me that our deadline extension would not involve more work than was previously planned.

“Not dead yet!”

Sweet zombie Jesus, her room isn't the Pit of Despair, it's the freakin' Dark Tardis.

Barb, I think your daughter takes after me. Seriously, my room growing up was awful. If it is any consolation, my house is pretty tidy, boxes and all. In fact, one of the things driving me batshit with my parents here is that they leave shit everywhere! Until my dad leaves, my floors will never be the same. He's a damned Hansel.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

No, but since it involved two things you like, I thought I'd share.

Anyway, I'm out of the office tomorrow - I get to go for my annual mammogram, which usually involves some three to four hours of sitting around and waiting. oh joy

Seriously, my room growing up was awful.

Mine was too, sort of. I'm of the flavor of Virgo who gravitates towards organized clutter and during adolescence there were some dark times, but I'm reasonably certain all my underwear ended up either in the hamper or the drawers in which they lived.

But, we're good. About three-quarters done, there is floor to be found and a goodly bit of stuff donated to Goodwill or set aside.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Today is never going to end, is it?
