Zoe: Jayne. This is something the Captain has to do for himself. Mal: No! No, it's not!

Except it is pixellating like hell.

When the DH took his Harley in to a reputable dealer out here for a tune-up, it FELL OFF THE LIFT.

Yep, that happened with my car a few years back. And not only did I have to shop around to find the best deal for repairs, I had to take time off work to get it fixed. Good times. So glad I no longer own a car.

I have had way too much drama this week, and it's only Tuesday. I'm tempted to go to bed right now and sleep for 12 hours.

Watching this is bringing back watching it live in the ops room as I pretended to work, tense as all shit. I was watching when Drew got the stuck bolt loose, when Mass lunged in for the tool and listened as he wrenched off the rail, clenching my teeth.

Maybe I finally can see it done.

For the record: what they did worked.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Happy birthdays to Matt, Cashmere, megan, and dad of ita!

My grandmother painted their house in Oakland flamingo pink after she got tired of her next-door neighbors (my grandfather's business partner and his wife) painting their house the same colour as hers right after she repainted several years in a row. They did not copy the pink.

So yes, I totally geeked out and I can't help but tear up when Grunsfeld pats Hubble goodbye. That man is a sentimental sap and I love him for it (plus, he visits us lots!)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aw, Sara. Cutie.

Man, my day was LONG. Started at a work event for 7:30 this morning, had a haircut at 7 tonight. Also got cat food, so poor Homer doesn't starve while I'm at a conference....
