hip deep in pie

my boss is gone on vacation. how badly do I want to skip work tomorrow?

Ditto and ditto. Also, I am the only person in my section, so who will know if I don't show up?

unfortunately EVERYONE would know if I didn't show up. and ideally I should get through a bunch of the nagging but non-urgent work that I put off. still.

My boss has been on vacation, and I am at work, but doing no work. I really need to buckle down.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

What's the last thing that made you smile unexpectedly?

“Not dead yet!”

Emerging from the debris of Abby's room to say that she has decided that her Groovy Girls should be given to worthy little girls and she asked if any of, as she calls them, the "Buffista girls" would like them. She has got a TON of them because they've been inexpensive and well, you know, grandparents, so I was thinking Lillian, Matilda, and Olivia would definitely be of an age to enjoy them. They're awesome dolls because they're soft and cute and cool without being trashy.

Anyone who wants to lay claim to some, let me know. Profile addy is good.

ETA: If anyone's not familiar with the dolls-- [link]

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Barb, insent.

There's also Casper, Emeline, Frances/Franny, Ellie and Grace. Is that all the wee girls we've got? I think Gud's and Fiona's girls have probably aged out of the Groovy Girl target audience, and nobody else is coming to mind.

However, it took my mind a solid five minutes to spit up Burrell's daughter's name, so I don't specially trust my mind at present.

I'm also in the deck demo confusion corner.

deck demolition - the scary, not at all safe, deck off sara's kitchen. It is getting demolished. No idea how longer before new deck construction. The time lapse between the two will leave sara with a scary kitchen door to nowhere with a one story drop.
