I hope Dana got a better room and some sleep.
I woke up unecessarily early this morning as well, and hope I don't have trouble with my flight.

I woke up at 3:30 am and I am still going to be late to work! This is at least partially because the 7:08 bus does not match up with the other bus I need to get to work, so I have to wait downtown for 20 minutes. But seriously, I should be able to be ready by 6:54 if I get up at 3:30.
I slept in until nearly 7. The cats were pretty disgusted with me.
sarameg, I'm so glad you're safe and sound. Dana, I hope you got a better room and got some solid rest! So much better than camping out on a hard airport bench!
Oh Dana, I hope you are sleeping like the proverbial baby right now.
As for me, I was awakened at 6:30 not by Lewis' alarm, but by Mooshu-- Mooshu, he who has lying around like a carpet down to an art form, whimpering and finally somehow opening the bedroom door. That opens inward. After that, Jasmine and Pisces started frolicking, so I had no choice but to let them all out. They were also all very thirsty, so I'm suspecting that Abby didn't exactly fill their water bowl last night when she gave them dinner.
But I'm up. And ingesting coffee.
Well, I managed to get most of the locations labelled on my pictures before I forgot. Now to do the parents'. [link]
Or I could shower. Or answer an email I should definitely not. Or run away.
Can't decide.
And now my father is monopolizing my bathroom.
sara, those are absolutely unbelievable. It's almost impossible to imagine that something like that exists for real. The eclipse pictures and the shots of the Himalayas are especially striking.
Deck demo starts today!
Barb, being up at the pass during the eclipse was surreal enough without the eclipse. The light and clouds and feeling of being lost in a sea of sky was just...woah.
That sounds like an amazing trip sara.
Here's hoping Dana got moved and is now blissfully unconscious. That flight ordeal sounded almost as bad as Drew's travel nightmare right before the F2F.
Seems lots of people had morning adventures. At 5:30, Sylvester decided to jump on things in mac's room, one such thing being a poster that had fallen - that is some noisy crinkly paper noise. I think the cat's may be getting bitten which may explain the uptick in early morning noise that has been happening recently. I think the bites I was getting at 5:30 got turned into scratches because I flipped the sheet backa dn rolleed out of bed so fast - JUST EW! Board meets tonight, hopefully I can get an exterminator out early next week.
