Sara, I feel your pain. Believe me, I'm still having nightmares about the cruise :)

No Pets Clause

"Thankyou for your letter concerning pets in my apartment. I understand that having dogs in the apartment is a violation of the agreement due to the comfort and wellbeing of my neighbours and I am currently soundproofing my apartment with egg cartons as I realise my dogs can cause quite a bit of noise. Especially during feeding time when I release live rabbits."

I only really lost it with them one day, and while I could have handled it a lot better, they bear part of the burden. But most of the time I found ways to deal. If only they'd understand when I tell them to stop pulling the tiger's tail (using that expression or just "you are making me really unhappy") I MEAN IT.

But that's all the whine I really have.

I climbed to the Tiger's Nest, some 2K feet UP from the start of the trail: [link] Halfway, sweaty me: [link]

That's all for tonight. Just to whet.

“Not dead yet!”

Oh man, sara, that is truly magnificent and you're absolutely glowing.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Holy crap. And to be there for the eclipse! Man.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Amazing!

My father has emailed me to ask if the beginning of September is a good time to come visit. It's taking all my self control to refrain from replying "What do you care about what I care?" So I'm just not replying.

Uhg, my father won't go to bed, and I can't either because I'm running sheets.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

and I can't either because I'm running sheets.

Is that as lucrative as running rum?

Btw, you look good sweaty, on a mountain, before an eclipse.
